Labour and Industrial laws are changing with time, which is justifiable in present social and economic scenario. These laws deal with many aspects of the relationship between trade unions, employers and employees.
The Central Government has introduced four Labour Codes (1) the Code on Wages, (2) Industrial Relations Code (3) Social Security Code and (4) Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code. These are set to replace 29 labour laws. In all probability they are likely to be implemented in the upcoming financial year of 2022-23 as a most of the States have finalised draft rules related thereto. The Centre had completed the process of finalising the draft rules on these codes 2021 since labour is a concurrent subject, the Centre wants the states to implement these uniformly.
